LightSpeed Retail and Cayan : P400+ Troubleshooting Steps

There are 2 primary things you can try to troubleshoot your P400+ Payment Terminal

1. Check the connection from LightSpeed to the Terminal

2. Check the connection from Terminal to Cayan

Check the connection from LightSpeed to the Terminal:

  1. In LightSpeed navigate to Settings > Payment Processing
  2. Click the terminal in question (POS 1, POS 2 or POS 3)
  3. At the top of the page click the “Test Connection” button
  4. If it’s working you’ll see a message that says success

Check the connection from Terminal to Cayan:

  1. On the terminal Push 000
  2. Enter Password 9416557
  3. Click Network > Test
  4. If test pass you can press the red X (Cancel) button on the keypad to return to home screen
  5. If the test do not pass then tap the Back button and then click Restart to restart the terminal. Once restarted try running the Network test again.
